ILLUSTRATIONS BY JACK
These illustrations demonstrate the themes & styles in digital drawing Jack goes for. The knowledge in programs such as Adobe Illustrator / Photoshop definitely help translate from paper to print.
To achieve these looks, I will sketch an idea out and use a Wacom Cintique tablet + stylus to bring my work to life on the screen.
Illustrations like these demonstrate that I can use these skills in creating different elements such as icons, logos, layering vectors, character design and even book illustrations. Although mostly of a cartoon-ish style, I sometimes use Corel Painter for the more painted brush strokes in art. I love experimenting with different colours and different styles such as grungy or cutesy.
Hope you enjoy the creations.

Patterns by Jack
These designs were done in Illustrator with scalable vector shapes and my first thought was to use many colours throughout. We see patterns in everything from nature to print design. I highlight the fact that patterns aren’t always in perfect repetition and we must allow for breaks in design.
